We’re on the grind so hard. But like… the column this time is like… not actually causing me to crash out about how I’m terrible at writing so that’s an absolute W. Not pulling teeth is such a great place to be writing from.

Exercise

We did two of them this week. Not ideal. Would have liked to do more, but that’s okay. We still got out there.

On Saturday, I technically started off with a .11 km bike ride. Which… was shorter than I planned because my rear wheel was flat :((((((. But I was very brave and I took it to the bike shop and got it fixed and listened to the first half of girl violence at the park while my bike was in the shop.

Then I went on a silly little 14.27 km bike ride from my home to UBC and back. Ostensibly because I needed to print some stuff at the library. It took like 52 minutes in total (not counting printing) which I think is pretty good? Especially given the massive frick off hill on the way to campus. I realize sometimes I need to be more disciplined about not always go zoomies and kinda take it chill? Crazy thought because zoomies are so much fun.

After the ride I went back to the bike shop because they misaligned my wheel when they reinstalled it so the chain rubbed against my wheel when I was in a low gear but I was very brave and did it.

I also did a run this afternoon. 3.5 miles. Pretty chill. Was with my boyfriend so I wasn’t able to quite do it in the 21 minutes I was planning on, but I suppose that’s fiiiiiiinnnnnneeeeeeeeeee. (39:26).

I got new pants!!!!

I stopped by the thrift store on my way home on Friday and found a pair of pants that make me very happy. Y’all don’t get a photo because I’m not out here trying to put leg pics on the internet (unless y’all think I should start an OF 👀). But they’re so nice. They fit my waist very well and they have CHONKERS of pockets and they’re a colour I don’t super have yet (like a dark black jean LMAO). I actually love her so much.

Shorter one today. Probably a shorter one Wednesday too. Because I’ll be “““doing journalism””” and “““covering the VP Party debates””” while “““not being the elections administrator because that would be a ‘‘‘conflict of interest¹ ’’’”””. And doing all the other writing assignments I’m behind on. But fun fact, libraries are great for working. (All of you knew this already.) I just always forget how cracked they are until I work at one for like 90 minutes and bang out 700 words of my column.

Also something very exciting/scary happened in the past couple days that I won’t be telling y’all about at all but I’m very excited about it — if indeed it ends up happening. I’ll wait at least a week to see if there are takesies-backsies before getting my affairs in order (said with love <3). I’m pretty sure only like seven of you know what I’m talking about but yeah. I am tentatively hyped.
