I was motion sick for 8 hours.

I got through it with the power of sleeping. Also it was incredibly foggy for parts of it which was terrifying — even as someone drifting in and out of consciousness in the back seat.

Hey chat. It’s me, Quyen. Once again, I can’t justify spending a significant amount of time writing this newsletter because I have outstanding writing things to do (oops. I’m sorry Elena. I promise tomorrow). I really had scheduled time to get things done today, but it turns out 8 hours isn’t a lot of time for productivity if you’re motion sick in the back of a car the entire time. (I called shotgun like 12 hours in advance but I got ignored because my partner hates me :/. And also I didn’t want to hurt them as I grappled them for the seat.)

I actually didn’t get motion sick the last time we did this drive — in fact, it was on that drive that I wrote and designed the Barry “Bee” Buzzword website :D. (Honestly that entire experience was such a fever dream, and I’m so glad that the website seemed to hit for so many people lmao. Graphic design/bee-themed political satire is my passion) I just really got hit by motion sickness hard this time, which is a shame.

Anyways, by Sunday I won’t have any more Shakespeare essay (still haven’t looked at feedback :/) to make me stressed — it will just be the rest of my life :D. But we’re chilling. I think I’ll be out camping with my partner’s family (hi Tom. Hi Martine), so it’ll have to be a prescheduled one. I kinda want to talk about how I made two fonts recently, but I’m afraid my partner’s sister’s boyfriend would consider that too nerdy and not well-adjusted. We’ll figure something out though.

I ALSO SHOULD ADD. As an addendum to the previous ish, which I can’t believe I forgot. During the mega ttrpg action, I mpregged someone I’m dating, someone I had a crush on, and also Harry with a demon bug baby. Which was — dare I say — absolutely hilarious. Also the mpregged demon bug babies gestating was a little bit the climax of the campaign so… yeah. TTRPGs are weird and fun.

Until Sunday at 10:03 pm, buzz on, my busy bees!
