Did you know there are Pride MadLibs?
At least one company still is okay with the gays?

I found one at the bookstore the other day, and I absolutely lost my mind. Let’s do one for tonight’s TWDNB. I also chose the one I thought was maybe the worst to turn into a MadLibs: LGBTQIA+ Rights Pioneers.
Instead of generating words myself, I’m asking the loyal followers of the Twice Weekly Daily Nightly Buzz. And for people who didn’t respond in time, I’m randomly picking a word from the Draw Steel: Heroes manuscript. If you’re sad that you didn’t get asked for a word… I’m sorry. There were only so many words to ask for and there are 52 of y’all (three of which are Sam Low). If you get upset enough at me I’ll do this again at some point and you’ll be first to get to contribute a word.
I’ll also say one person (don’t worry, I’m not going to out you on this newsletter) did ask if this was for a MadLibs thing so… good for you :). I’ll also note that my boyfriend didn’t respond to my solicitation for a verb ending in “ing” :(.
LGBTQIA+ Rights Pioneers
Pride is a time to honour the people who started the fight for equal pickles [plural noun]! It’s incredible to think that less than 14 [number] years ago, same-sex couples weren’t permitted to laugh [verb], or that 127 [number] years before that, the LGBTQIA+ community had hardly any public presence. Famous activists like James Baldwin, Marsha P. Johnson, and Robin Williams [celebrity] helped raise public awareness about issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people, but there are still more challenges on the pounce* [noun] ahead. Foolishly [adverb] the librarians [occupation (plural)] of today continue the work by lobbying the government for better spoilers [plural noun], mincing [verb ending in “ing”] millions of dollars, and educating the public on the horses [plural noun] affecting the LGBTQIA+ community. Most importantly, activists remind us all to romance [verb] up, speak out, and keep phasing** [verb ending in “ing”] for equality. So get your soaps [plural noun] together and head out to the parade to scream and pierce [verb]! Who knows? You or someone you perambulate [verb] may be the next LGBTQIA+ rights forensic anthropologist ✌️[occupation].

I patched my jeans

crystals and stars and skulls. it’s such a cool piece of fabric :)
I’m very proud :). I spent an embarrassing amount of time on this (like probably 90 minutes), but it looks good. And I’m optimistic that the fabric will fail before my sewing :).
None of my immediate family knows how to sew, so I taught myself a couple years ago. I only actually finished sewing one thing (which I gave away). But now I know I can patch my pants. So yay me. Gonna have so many silly little patches on my pants when they wear through. Now I don’t have to throw any clothes away :D. Gonna spend an afternoon someday soon just mending clothes and it’d gonna be GREAT.
More Gay Stuff
Erika Ishii was in a gay short film :). In case y’all can’t tell, I want to be Erika Ishii when I grow up they’re so cool and I definitely didn’t steal my hair from them that’d be crazy. You think I’d watch the stream of Taliesin Jaffe give Erika Ishii an undercut in the hour before I got mine to hype myself up??? That’d be crazy and a completely unfounded accusation.
Maybe I’m working on a new instagram account???
It’s gonna be so funny I’m so excited. Gonna be the number 1 fan of a certain member of parliament. I think I’d be the first fan account for this MP. Though honestly, they basically have fan cams of themself on their own instagram, so….
Anyways, if anyone on this newsletter ends up failing upward into unseating someone who’s been in parliament for 20 years, I’ll also set up an Instagram fan account for you :).
The first post will probably come before Wednesday. I’ll link all of you folks to it then :D. It honestly won’t even be like… a joke or a meme. Just unironically videos of this specific MP speaking in parliament. (The footage is very accessible)
From the Archive

I didn’t know that the engineers had a tradition of putting a naked woman on a horse and parading her around that’s wild. (At a certain point, apparently they also paraded a naked man around for equality.) The UBC archives have photos of this, but I’m not sure how I feel about emailing y’all tiddies.
Also to be less fun, a fun fact inspired by the second image where they talk about lynching is that the US only passed its first federal anti-lynching law three years ago :D. I love the states.
That’s All!
Yahoo. Another email. I had fun with this one. It was kinda silly and funny to accost people with madlibs prompts.
Should be a fun week ahead. Lots of ttrpgs ahead (including a big boss battle for my campaign of two and a half years — it’s almost done!). Hopefully a couple nights where I get 8 hours of sleep. Oh! We went huckleberry picking. That was fun. Touching grass is kinda OP y’all, you should try it.
Until Wednesday at 10:03 pm, buzz on, my busy bees!
Oh no skydiving looks kinda cool now since 2025
